Back In the Game

It feels good to be back in the thick of things. When I say things or "game" to the non urban slang users I mean the music business or bidness like I call it. Well, more the "Malaysian music industry".

I must say I missed it a bit. The feeling of trying to make the perfect song, recording, writing, makin' beats, etc. This time I'm a step up my game too cos I'm producing everything. It has truly been a great learning experience working with the industry's sound pros like Illegal and CL Toh. There is so much too learn when u get into the production game and I intend to learn them all. Big shoutouts to my man and mentor Yogi B for guiding me throughout the process and for helping me whenever he can.

What's truly different this time is that I own everything and the success or failure of everything is in my hands. And also my fans or consumers. If my album drops nobody buys then dielar.lol. Since I'm independent now, I need to work on my own marketing & promotions, funding, PR, etc...Thank God I have a small but strong team to support me on this. I hope my time away from the industry have not strained any ties I have with the media. You gotta love the media, without them we still small town boys doing dance routines for school shows. The media helped us (Poetic Ammo) a lot to get to where we were. Special shoutout goes to Jakeman, Izham, Paul Moss and all the current media moguls. They helped my carreer out alot when we were nobodys back in the day. Its great to see them as big and powerful as they are today. They deserve it for what they have contributed to the local entertainment industry.

I guess I feel the "hunger" now more than I ever did. Last time I felt this way was when I was still in Ipoh dreaming to be a famous rap star. Maybe its the few years I spent away from making music for a living. Maybe its my destiny. Lol. I dunno, I just feel so hungry and focused right now. This is my comeback. And I'll be damned if I 'll be slept on.:)
